St Justin's Footy Colours Day

We're wearing our footy colours for kids with cancer!

Every year more than 950 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in Australia. With treatment starting instantly they face, on average, more than 6 months away from their school and school friends.

This year, we're taking part in Fight Cancer Foundation's Footy Colours Day to help these kids!

All the money we raise will help the Fight Cancer Foundation to provide accomodation and support for cancer patients and their families and fund vital  life-saving research into cancer treatment and cures.

The accommodation centres offer families living with cancer a home away from home when they need it most, reducing the financial and emotional burden of a cancer diagnosis.

Please donate what you can and help make a difference to the lives of kids with cancer!

Why St. Justin’s Students are Celebrating Footy Colours Day

Friday 2nd Aug

On 20th September, students at St. Justin’s will be sporting their favourite footy jerseys to take part in Footy Colours Day—a vibrant celebration aimed at raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. This annual event combines the excitement of sport with a heartfelt cause.

Footy Colours Day is more than just a fun, colourful event; it’s a powerful way to support children battling cancer. By participating, our students will not only show their team spirit but also contribute to critical research that can lead to better treatments and a brighter future for affected children.

Our involvement in this initiative reflects St. Justin’s commitment to fostering empathy and community spirit. It’s an opportunity for students to learn about the impact of charity and to stand in solidarity with those facing difficult challenges.

Encouraging our children to take part in events like this helps instil values of kindness and social responsibility. We hope the day will be a source of joy and inspiration for our students while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Let’s come together and support this worthy cause with enthusiasm and pride!
