Weston Creek Children’s Centre

We're wearing our footy colours for Harry!

Every year more than 950 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in Australia. With treatment starting instantly they face, on average, more than 6 months away from their school and school friends.

This year, we're taking part in Fight Cancer Foundation's Footy Colours Day to help these kids!

All the money we raise will help the Fight Cancer Foundation to provide accomodation and support for cancer patients and their families and fund vital  life-saving research into cancer treatment and cures.

The accommodation centres offer families living with cancer a home away from home when they need it most, reducing the financial and emotional burden of a cancer diagnosis.

Please donate what you can and help make a difference to the lives of kids with cancer!

Our Updates

How is Harry?

Thursday 4th Sep

We are pleased to update our beautiful Weston Creek family that Harry is progressing well through his treatment for Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

In the last two months, Harry completed his second Bone Marrow Transplant. We've been told this is the most difficult part we will experience as part of his treatment. Following this, he's been in isolated recovery to let his body rest and remember how to properly make and keep good blood counts. His appetite has returned, and we've been able to remove all anti emetics from his treatment regime as he is feeling so well.

At the moment we are in the middle of re-staging, where his body is scanned to determine what disease remains. One of the more significant scans, but a single piece of the puzzle, has returned a result of, "No Evidence of Disease". We are optimistic the remaining two results we are waiting for will also be the same.

This doesn't affect the remainder of Harry's treatment, and our next block of treatment begins around September 15 when Harry begins radiation.

Thank you as always for everyone's support and love. I always say that this support holds us- and I truly mean that!

If you want to follow along more closely- I've begun an instagram page, @harry_bs_heroes that I update regularly also.
